Description

Sooo.. Tres popular down here, NGC253 is a pretty big star burst galaxy which basically means its spitting out young blue stars at a phenomenal rate. Whilst you cant see it here, there are images around which show large amounts of Ha (in Pink) indicating star forming regions

You will find this in Sculptor masquerading as either the silver coin galaxy or the sculptor galaxy and its between 8 and 13 illiion light years away. If you look carefully, theres quite a few tiny little galaxies splattered around the main image. If it looks like a smudged star, its probably a galaxy

Having said that, one of the most interesting facts I came across looking for blurb is that there is a web site galled NGC253-Galaxy.com where you can build your own empire and do evil if you so desire, all for a mere $10 contribution via Paypal. Who would have thought it. Arnt we a resourceful lot!

Many hours of data but a tad disappointed as I hoped to be able to bring out more detail but its tricky getting high Resolution at my location plus I am not that good at processing.

Thanks for looking
